How much does a good sofa cost in the UAE?
Broad price ranges, what the money really pays for, the costs that hide behind the label, and a simple way to judge value.

The short answer
There is no single sofa price in the UAE, but as a broad range, ready-made store sofas often cost AED 1,300 to 5,000, and premium or luxury custom brands usually start around AED 5,500 and go well beyond AED 10,000 for large corners. A good sofa is one whose price pays for a solid frame, dense seat foam and a durable fabric, delivered and installed. Pufflo sofas run from AED 6,090 to AED 11,990, with delivery and installation included.

What does a sofa cost in the UAE?
Prices vary widely, so think in bands rather than single numbers. These are broad ranges for fabric sofas, not quotes from any one shop:
| Type | Broad price range | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|
| Mass-market ready-made | About AED 1,300 to 3,000 for a 3-seater | Fixed sizes, simpler frames and foams, often sold from stock |
| Mid-range ready-made | About AED 3,000 to 5,000 | Better finishes and more fabrics, with quality that varies a lot |
| Premium and luxury custom brands | From about AED 5,500, often over AED 10,000 for corners | Made to order, more choice, materials usually named |
Pufflo sofas sit across the middle of that range: from AED 6,090 to AED 11,990, each handmade to order and delivered and installed, included in the price.
What are you actually paying for?
Roughly, the price of a sofa covers five things: the materials inside, the fabric, the labour, getting it to you, and the seller's own costs, such as stores, warehouses and advertising. Two sofas at the same price can split that money very differently.
- Frame: kiln-dried hardwood or quality plywood costs more than particleboard or undried softwood, and lasts far longer.
- Springs and foam: sinuous springs and high-resilience foam of 35 kg/m³ or more cost more than webbing and light foam, and they are what keep a seat comfortable for years.
- Fabric: a dense weave rated over 30,000 Martindale cycles costs more per metre than a light one, and a corner sofa uses far more fabric than a 2-seater.
- Labour: cutting, sewing and upholstering by hand takes skilled hours.
- Delivery and installation: carrying a large sofa in and setting it up properly is real work, whether or not it appears on the bill.
What does a very low sofa price usually mean?
A sofa priced far below others of the same size has saved money somewhere, usually where you cannot see it. The most common places are:
- The frame: particleboard or thin softwood instead of hardwood or quality plywood, held with staples rather than glue and screws.
- The suspension: elastic webbing alone instead of sinuous springs.
- The foam: low-density foam that feels fine on day one and can soften noticeably within a year or two of daily use.
- The fabric: a light weave with a low abrasion rating that wears or pills quickly where you sit.
A low price can be right for a guest room or a short lease. For the sofa your family uses every evening, those savings tend to show up later as sagging seats and tired fabric. Ask the seller to name each material: a clear answer is a good sign at any price.
Are sofa sale prices real?
Large, permanent discounts are common in furniture. A sofa that is always 40% off has a real price, and it is the discounted one; the higher figure exists mainly to make it look like a deal. That does not make it a bad sofa, but it does mean you should compare final prices and specifications, not percentages.
Seasonal sales, such as those during the Dubai Shopping Festival, can bring genuine reductions, mostly on stock that a store needs to clear. A sofa made to order has no stock to clear, so its price tends to stay steadier through the year.
How to judge value: the cost per year
A sofa is used almost every day, so the most useful number is what it costs per year of good use. A simple example with round numbers:
| Sofa A | Sofa B | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | AED 1,800 | AED 4,500 |
| Years before it sags or looks tired | 3 | 10 |
| Cost per year | AED 600 | AED 450 |
These figures are an illustration, not a prediction: how long a sofa lasts depends on its frame, foam and fabric, and on how it is used. The logic holds, though. A sofa that keeps its shape for ten years often costs less per year than one you replace twice in the same time, and you avoid the hassle of getting rid of the old one.

From AED 6,090 · delivered and installedWhere to spend and where to save
If the budget is tight, spend on what you sit on every day and save on what you can change later:
- Spend on: the main living room sofa, and within it the frame, the seat foam and a durable fabric.
- Save on: a second sofa for a guest room or study, scatter cushions, and side tables you can upgrade later.
- Size to your life: a well-made 3-seater plus an armchair can cost less than a large corner and seat almost as many people.
- Skip the extras you will not use: pay for comfort and build, not for a famous label or a big discount sticker.

Questions, answered
What is a reasonable price for a 3-seater sofa in the UAE?
As a broad range, ready-made 3-seaters in stores often cost AED 1,300 to 5,000, and premium made-to-order brands usually start above that. At Pufflo, 3-seaters start at AED 7,290, handmade to order and delivered and installed.
Why do corner sofas cost so much more?
A corner uses more frame, more springs, more foam and much more fabric than a 3-seater, and it takes longer to upholster, deliver and install. Compare the price per seat rather than the total: a corner seats four or five people, a 3-seater three.
Is delivery included in Pufflo prices?
Yes. Every sofa is delivered and installed across the seven emirates, included in the price. Your sofa arrives three to six days after you order, and the delivery dates are shown when you order.
Do Pufflo prices change with the colour or the comfort?
No. On every sofa, all colours and both comforts, Cocoon and Classic, are the same price, and corner sofas cost the same with the chaise on the left or on the right. The price changes only with the model and the format.
Is it worth paying more for a sofa?
It is worth paying for what you will feel and see for years: a solid frame, dense seat foam and a durable fabric. It is not worth paying more for a large discount percentage, a famous name or features you will not use.
